This week we are looking into Thyroid and what to look out for if you suspect that this may be a contributing factor impacting on your journey to Holistic Health and Wellbeing.

THYROID:

The thyroid types tend to be tall and thin with long tapering fingers. They have a tendency to crave sweets and put on weight around the middle and not on the extremities. Their energy levels fluctuate up and down in spurts, rather than a steady flow.

If you feel as though this is where you fit in.. it may be a good idea to restrict black tea, coffee, chocolate, cola, refined carbohydrate and all products made from, sugar, desserts and fruits.

If you must snack, try a hard boiled egg or some meat

You may do better if you eat about the same portions at all three meals

Breakfast: Eggs, grain

Lunch: Meat, fish or cheese, yogurt or cottage cheese, grain, large salad

Dinner: meat fish or poultry, (meat only 2-3 times a week), vegetables (cooked/raw), grain[/fusion_text]
